Stars Teams 2024-2025

We have currently confirmed 5 teams for the 2025 season, two at U14 and one each at U15, U16 and U17.

If you know anybody that might be interested in assistant coaching a team this season, please get them to fill out our coaching application form. Many hands makes light work!

About Stars Tryouts

Stars runs 3 tryouts per age group, players should plan to attend all 2/3 tryouts for their age group; if there is any conflict please let us know as soon as possible (see note below regarding conflicts). Our full team of coaches will evaluate players based on skills, ability to work in a team, effort and attitude. Team decisions will be made 1-3 days after the last tryout; selected players will be called or emailed by the head coach.

We encourage all players to bring a non-perishable food donation to The Harvest Project.

Please make sure you are aware of the Stars Philosophy & Code of Conduct, Volleyball BC’s tentative schedule, and club fees before tryouts.

*Note : We are aware of the conflicts with other North Shore club’s tryouts, especially at U14-U16. Unfortunately, it is inevitable that there will be overlaps with the limited gym space available on the North Shore. We have three tryouts to have the best opportunity to see all the athletes. If you can not attend one tryout or have to arrive late, no worries just shoot us an email letting us know and we will make a note.

About the Signing Process

Stars typically only early signs a select few players each season. We believe in giving every player the opportunity to tryout for our teams. If you did not receive an early signing offer, it does not mean we do not want you on our team! It just means we would like to see you again at tryouts before making our decision.

Any club (Stars, BCO, Power West, etc) can make an offer before the Signing Date for that age group, however players do not need to respond until 6:00pm PST on the Signing Date, when the offer expires. Players cannot be pressured to accept an offer. Offers made after 6:00pm on the Signing Date cannot be rescinded for a minimum of 24 hours.

Players are considered to have accepted an offer upon signing the VBC Club Athlete Offer Letter or by paying a portion of their club fees.

U14: November 25, 2024

U15: December 2, 2024

U16: December 9, 2024

U17: December 9, 2024
