We provide an option for younger players to train and play, for eight weeks starting in March.
The Youth League concept was developed in response to the growing interest in youth volleyball. This program is designed to provide girls in grades 6-10 with basic skill development and game-situation practice through the winter and early spring. This is a great opportunity for athletes who were not selected to a club team, could not play due to scheduling conflicts or who are new to the game.
Maximum 30 participants. The league runs much like a train and play, coached by experienced Stars coaches and U16-U18 players. The first 30-45 minutes is devoted to skill development. Coaches organize a different skill to focus on and build on each week. The last part of the session is playing in various formats. Players are put onto different teams every week.
Following the advice and guidance of the Minister of Health and encouraging social distancing, we feel it is in everybody's best interest to cancel our Spring Youth League. If you have registered already, you registration fees will be refunded and you should see a credit back on your statement within 3-10 business days.
We are planning a possible alternate program which will run in the summertime, depending on gym and coach availability. Please stay tuned for further information on this.
